Workouts, programs & mesocycles
Programs
Saved Programs define an intended workout structure: exercises, set counts, rep ranges, rest prescriptions, and supported training techniques. Started workouts snapshot their working prescription so later program edits do not rewrite an already-started session.
Mesocycles
Mesocycles organize Programs over calendar weeks and preserve workout lineage so current-block history can remain meaningful. Scheduled sessions and actual completed performance remain separate concepts.
Progression
Calmacular uses workout history in context. Relevant factors can include exact Program/set lineage, exercise occurrence, rep range, rest, resistance mode, technique stack, prior performance, RIR/effort, equipment/resistance steps, and other compatibility safeguards. Not every historical set is treated as interchangeable.
Training techniques
Supported techniques can change the meaning of a set. Calmacular snapshots technique prescriptions into the active session and uses compatibility rules to avoid borrowing progression credit from materially different prescriptions.
Rest timers and active workout editing
Rest timers are part of the workout prescription where applicable. Grouped structures such as Supersets/Circuits use group-aware timing rather than treating every member as an unrelated set.
